Dennis Robert Werner Jr.

Dennis Robert Werner Jr., age 74, of Long Beach, CA, peacefully passed on 8/29/26. Bob loved his family, friends and golf, but not necessarily in that order. He leaves behind his wife Celia, his daughters Lexi and Helen, his siblings Mary Anne (Gene) Perdue, Joan (Bill) Dickerson, deceased brother Mike (spouse Jean) Werner, Sally (Ross) Dyer and Terry (Sharon) Werner. Affectionately known as Uncle Bob, he thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his many nieces and nephews.

Bob was born into an aviation family, and he kept that legacy alive by flying and repairing planes, directing aircraft as an air traffic controller, and ultimately surrounding himself with planes by working in airfield operations at LAX.

He loved to share a fine bottle of wine along with a good meal, stimulating conversation and laughter. But most of all, Bob loved the game of golf. He had the perfect disposition for the game. He always focused on the positive and felt he was on the cusp of figuring it out.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the SCGA Junior Golf Association in memory of Dennis Robert Werner Jr. Private funeral services to be held by family.
