Darryl Scott Evans

    Darryl was born in San Francisco on November 11, 1948 to Howard and Lida Evans. He grew up in Long Beach, California. He graduated from Long Beach Poly in 1966. He served in the U.S. Army in the 82nd Airborne Division in the Vietnam War.

     He was a loving father to Lisa, Courtney, Kelsey, Mackenzie, and Madison. He had five wonderful grandchildren. He spent many years traveling and enjoying life with Jannie. He was a postmaster, building inspector and a friend to all. He loved Joshua Tree, Alaska and California. He instilled his love of animals in all of his daughters.

     Darryl enjoyed camping, fixing things, and spending time with family and friends. Darryl was a genuinely good person who saw the best in everyone. He always had a twinkle in his eye and a funny comment. Darryl will be thoroughly missed by all the people whose lives he touched.
