Charles Douglas Renick, Jr.

     With loving hearts we announce the passing of Charles Douglas "Doug" Renick, Jr., 71, who died peacefully on September 18, 2025 in Long Beach, CA.

     Doug was born on August 24, 1954 in Buffalo, NY to Charles Renick, Sr. and Helen Halyama. He graduated from Frontier High School in 1972 and went on to study accounting at the University of Buffalo, graduating in 1975. Doug pursued a career in business, working in financial planning and ultimately as a director at Merrill Lynch. He made a remarkable impact on those around him and was known for his enthusiasm and resilience, love for family and friends, and passions for business, sports (especially baseball), golden retrievers, and world travel.

     Doug and his first wife Betty raised their three children, Kiel, Adam, and Ashley in Orchard Park surrounded by friends and family. To honor this period a celebration of life will be held in the Buffalo region this December.

     Doug and his current wife Karen welcomed four beautiful grandchildren into their world while living in California, Washington, and South Carolina. Above all, they loved the California lifestyle and their time in Sacramento, San Francisco and the Monterey Peninsula. To honor this period another celebration of life will be held in California this December.

     He is survived by his wife Karen, son Kiel (Olivia), son Adam (Violet), daughter Ashley (Zach), stepdaughter Lauren (Jeff), stepson Jesse, first wife Betty, grandchildren Avery, Finn, Harper, and Caden, and brother Donald (Sandy). He was predeceased by his parents.
