Charles Fredrick McKelvey

     Charles was born in Torrance, California to Robert John McKelvey and Margaret Josephine Bonprezzi McKelvey. Raised as a Catholic in Carson, California, Charles was 61 years old when he passed peacefully at his home in Norwalk, California surrounded by family and friends. He suffered from metastatic neuroendocrine carcinoma, a very aggressive cancer. Charles’ celebration of life was on June 27, 2025 before his death as he requested.

     He is survived by his wife of 40 years Deanna, four Sons Charles Jr. (Wendy), Patrick (Tiffany), Brian (Lisamarie), and Dwayne (Leanne), 13 grandchildren with first great-grandchild on the way, his siblings: Alice, Barbara, Fred and Mary, his uncle James McKelvey, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Margaret McKelvey and brother Robert McKelvey (Bobby).

     Charles had a lifetime of friends here and passed. Once you met him you never forgot him. He loved with all of his heart his family and friends. His work was never a job to him. He hobbies included motorcycling, sports and gardening. He was full of wisdom and knowledge and very talented. He was always the life of the party. His craftsmanship building awnings for over 40 years decorates the South Bay and beyond. He was a man with many passions. He loved life and he was just a phone call away; you could always count on him. Charles had strength beyond comprehension. God has our angel now.
